Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 12-month onsite assignment in Georgetown, KY. The role involves evaluating power distribution, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with contractors to meet project milestones.

The candidate will perform feasibility studies, scope development, and safety/compliance assessment to NFPA/industry codes while collaborating with multiple engineering teams to ensure on-time, budget-conforming project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing environment and project management.
• Experience with technical drawing and bid/spec development.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and safety codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to review drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule and budget.
• Create scope of work, bid package and project specifications.
• Review technical drawings, provide feedback, negotiate changes.
• Evaluate electrical power systems.
• Evaluate electrical and safety compliance to local and national codes.
• Collaborate with 3rd party Safety Compliance Contractors.
• Evaluate power distribution/breaker size/Amp draw/SCCR/Panel Loading.
• Specify/confirm electrical components for industrial equipment.
• Collaborate with multiple groups to design and install equipment and meet project milestones.
• Supervise contractors in green-field or brown-field environments.
• Coordinate installation with skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers and equipment manufacturers.
• Develop countermeasures for project delays for timely completion.
