Job summary

Faith Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Electrical Engineer-Level 1 to perform basic electrical power and low voltage system tasks on construction projects under supervision. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, electrical terminology, and IECC knowledge is required.

Earnest commitment to safety and quality is expected. The role is onsite in Opelika, AL with potential relocation support for candidates outside AL.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Architectural Engineering (Electrical) or Associate degree in Electrical Technology.
  • 4 years of progressive electrical engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office; IECC knowledge advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specs to meet standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct field surveys to identify and correct power system problems.
  • Operate engineering design software and perform calculations under supervision.
  • Plan layout of electrical construction projects with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

The Electrical Engineer-Level 1is responsible for performing basic electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects, under the direct supervision of an upper level Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer, or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is required, knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols is required, and knowledge of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

or

Education: Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering - Electrical

or

Education: Associate Degree in Electrical Technology

Experience: 4 years of progressive electrical engineering related

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday.

Location:

This position is expected to be onsite in Opelika, AL. Relocation assistance may be offered for those outside of AL who plan to relocate.

Onsite training is provided but requires relocation to WI or KS facility for 3 months. Lodging, travel, and food are covered by the company during this time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares and studies technical drawings, and electrical specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.

  • Conducts field surveys and studies diagram and other data to identify and correct power system problems.

  • Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications, with direction from an upper-level Engineer.

  • Plans layout of electrical construction projects with direction from an upper level Engineer.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
