Job summary

Spectrum Brands’ Home & Garden Division in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to oversee EHS, security, and workers' comp for the Vinita Park facility.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations while fostering a safe workplace. You will design and deliver training, lead the plant Safety Committee, coordinate emergency drills, and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Engineering or equivalent field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role with demonstrated knowledge of applicable environmental health and safety regulations required.
• Manufacturing facility experience is required.
• Experience with Process Safety Management/Risk Management Planning a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's environmental, health, safety, and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage safety performance and reporting through electronic EHS systems.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA and local regulations compliance and regulatory interactions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver training on safety and environmental topics.
• Serve as a key leader on the plant Safety Committee.
• Oversee site emergency action planning and drills.
• Ensure compliance with PSM and RMP standards, including PHAs and Risk Management Plans.
• Prepare and maintain environmental reports for agencies.
• Support workers' compensation program by leading investigations.
