Job summary

Spectrum Brands, a leading consumer products company based in St. Louis, Missouri, seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for the Home & Garden Division at the Vinita Park Facility.

You will lead EHS, security, and workers’ compensation across the site, ensuring safe operations aligned with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations. You will develop policies, conduct training, manage audits, and partner with leadership to drive improvements in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related EHS field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing setting.
• Manufacturing facility experience is required.
• Experience with Process Safety Management/Risk Management Planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility’s EHS, safety, and sustainability initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
• Manage safety performance and reporting through EHS management systems.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA and applicable regulations compliance; represent company in regulatory interactions.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures per regulatory requirements.
• Design and deliver training for managers and employees on safety topics, including hazard communication and lockout/tagout.
• Lead the plant Safety Committee and safety initiatives.
• Oversee emergency action planning and drills with local authorities.
• Conduct EHS audits and drive corrective actions with employees.
• Prepare environmental reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Support workers’ compensation data, investigations, and return-to-work plans.
