Job summary

Confidential Recruiting Partners seeks an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across a manufacturing campus. The role develops, implements, and maintains systems for proactive safety culture, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The position is onsite in Vermont with no visa sponsorship; relocation assistance is limited. Responsibilities include audits, reporting, incident investigations, and cross‑functional collaboration to mitigate hazards and enhance safety

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/federal regulations.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior‑based safety programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all organizational levels.
• Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems.
• Bachelor's degree as specified or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and KPIs.
• Coordinate internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports.
• Serve as a resource for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership.
• Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements.
• Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide EHS leadership, guidance, and support across the facility and associated campus locations.
• Lead safety initiatives that strengthen a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
• Support workers' compensation case management, return‑to‑work programs, and injury‑prevention initiatives.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and HR to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement.
• Conduct new‑hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and internal requirements.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
