Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Sedalia, MO is seeking an EHS Manager to lead the implementation of the new EHS Management System at the Sedalia Manufacturing & Distribution Center and support other sites as needed.

You will oversee environmental, health, and safety programs, drive a proactive culture, and ensure regulatory compliance across permits and reporting. This onsite role requires collaboration with departments and the Corporate EHS team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety and/or Environmental Sciences preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience implementing EHS culture in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
• Broad knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 standards and environmental requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with EHS data management systems; proficient with MS Office.
• OSHA-30 certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of the SBD EHS Management System.
• Develop an accident-free workplace culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coach and mentor EHS teams and cross-functional groups.
• Identify and mitigate risks using a risk register and regular assessments.
• Manage environmental permits, including stormwater, wastewater, and Title V.
• Provide EHS training to meet permit and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead EHS change initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and plant leadership on EHS considerations.
