Job summary

ERM is seeking a hands-on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support a key technology client onsite in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time, limited-term role for 6 months, with potential extension.

The ideal candidate will develop and implement OSHA requirements, Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and Risk Assessments, and will handle waste management, environmental reporting, and chemical safety. Strong auditing, training, and client relationship skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety or related discipline preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience providing EHS support with emphasis on health and safety.
• Certification or working toward CSP/ASP is a plus.
• Experience with Enablon is a plus.
• Experience conducting Industrial Hygiene monitoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance and system audits to assess project compliance with health and safety or environmental regulatory requirements, client standards, or management systems.
• Provide training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments to improve safety performance.
• Identify follow-up corrective actions to close audit findings.
• Develop EHS procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
• Manage tasks within scope/budget/schedule and ensure quality of project deliverables.
• Build client relationships and nurture repeat business.
