Job summary

ERM is hiring a Senior Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support our key technology client onsite in Redmond, WA. This full-time role has a minimum duration of 4 months, extendable, with a focus on lab and R&D safety, hazard recognition, risk assessment, and incident investigations.

The ideal candidate will have 7–15 years of EHS experience, preferably in tech R&D or manufacturing, and knowledge of OSHA standards. Certifications such as CIH or CSP/ASP are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 7–15 years of EHS experience in tech R&D or manufacturing
• OSHA knowledge and regulatory understanding
• Experience communicating technical data and reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for new equipment and labs
• Provide weekly reports to EHS Managers
• Support Safety Committee meetings and safety walks
• Assist with Emergency Action Plans and drills
• Perform audits to ensure regulatory and client standards compliance
• Assist with near miss/incident investigations
• Calibrate and maintain direct reading instruments
• Be the EHS voice for assigned labs and safety needs
• Escalate issues and propose improvements weekly
• Deliver training and targeted EHS assessments for clients
• Develop EHS compliance procedures and permits
• Support ERM Partners and Project Managers to deliver projects
• Build collaborative relationships across ERM teams
