Ensemble is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for all patients at Valley Winchester Medical Center. This entry-level role emphasizes customer service and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will assign MRNs, verify eligibility, collect insurance details, and support POS and billing processes while delivering compassionate, accurate information and instructions to patients and families.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

Aufgaben

• Assign MRNs, verify medical necessity, collect insurance information, and process physician orders with an emphasis on accuracy and patient service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls and coordinate messages.
• Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service in every interaction.
• Meet point of service goals as assigned and contribute to a positive patient experience.
• Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are accurate and timely.
• Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including demographic and financial information.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms; distribute patient education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility, select applicable plan codes, and support POS and billing processes.
• Screen Medicare ABN software to inform patients of possible non-payment and distribute related forms.
