Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Onsite EAP Counselor for a per diem role delivering onsite behavioral health services to a dedicated client book. The position is non-exempt and paid hourly.

Responsibilities include conducting solution-focused consultations, assessing and referring to programs, providing crisis intervention, on-site training, and coordinating with HR and managers while maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline.
• Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level.
• 3+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to work onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solution-focused consultations; help clients define goals, plan action and gain insight.
• Assess and refer to appropriate programs and services including Worklife, behavioral health, substance abuse/chemical dependency and community-based resources.
• Assist with referrals for members needing ongoing/additional counseling services.
• Provide limited after care monitoring and follow-up to ensure safety and continuity of treatment.
• Provide manager consultation on work-related issues such as performance management, trauma impacting the workplace, organizational change and coaching.
• Provide crisis intervention and management support for Critical Incidents.
• Conduct on-site training for managers and employees (wellness seminars, Health fairs, Lunch & Learns).
• Document member contact/case documentation in clinical systems within timeframes.
• Follow HIPAA and privacy policies and licensing practices.

Education

Masters / Doctoral degree in behavioral health

Current, unrestricted license (independent practice)
