Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Field Support Representative to assist US DoD customers in the greater Oklahoma City area. You will install and test satellite terminal equipment, monitor operations, and serve as the technical liaison across multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission success.

Responsibilities include training operators, creating field reports, and maintaining configuration data. Willingness to travel up to 50% and US citizenship required for DoD work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with IP-based SATCOM systems.
• Experience with IP/Networking devices, routers, switches, ASA/Firewalls.
• Fundamental knowledge of satellite communications and RF transmission theory.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and US citizenship for DoD work.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for US DoD customers in the OK area.
• Install and test communications equipment prior to operations.
• Maintain field service tickets and detailed reports.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across engineering and operations.
• Support 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
