Job summary

Ruan is seeking a full-time dispatch coordinator onsite in Greensboro, NC. The role centers on coordinating timely pickup and delivery, assigning workload to drivers, and using dispatch systems to capture data in near real time.

You will monitor driver hours, ensure DOT compliance, communicate with customers, and maintain accurate paperwork. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 1-2 years in Transportation, dispatching, terminal assistant, customer service or related.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Strong working knowledge of technology within dispatch systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of customer orders within assigned area.
• Direct and schedule drivers' work and assign tasks.
• Monitor driver activities, performance, and on-time movements.
• Resolve daily service and scheduling issues; communicate with customers.
• Monitor hours of service to prevent DOT violations.
• Maintain data in dispatch systems and prepare activity reports.
• Promote safety in all dispatch activities.
