Job summary

Ruan is seeking an on-site dispatcher in Landover, MD to coordinate pickup and delivery of customer orders and manage driver workloads. You will monitor service levels, assign work, and maintain real-time data in dispatch systems while ensuring DOT compliance and safety standards.

The role requires 1–2 years in transportation or related fields, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatch software.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is required.
• Strong working knowledge of technology within dispatch systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely pickup and delivery of customer orders within assigned area.
• Direct and schedule drivers' work and monitor driver activities.
• Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues with timely communication.
• Monitor hours of service to prevent DOT violations.
• Communicate with customers regularly regarding service issues.
• Prepare and process data and paperwork, update dispatch information in real-time.
• Promote safety in all areas of dispatch.
