Jasurda Search Group is seeking a hands-on Director of Operations for a fast-growing, non-asset freight brokerage in New Jersey. This onsite leadership role will run daily operations, develop the team, fix processes, and own supplier relationships to keep freight moving on time and on margin.

You don't need to be a Director today; an Operations Manager ready to run the whole operation at a smaller, growth-stage company is ideal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in freight brokerage operations, ideally at a non-asset brokerage.
• Came up through the floor: carrier sales or dispatch, booking trucks, negotiating rates, managing loads.
• 3+ years leading people, including brokerage operations teams.
• Track record of building systems or processes that made an operation run better.
• Strong carrier procurement and capacity management experience.
• Lives in New Jersey within a reasonable daily commute of the office.

Responsabilités

• Lead the full brokerage operations team: carrier sales, dispatch, and load management.
• Run daily operations and keep freight moving on time and on margin.
• Hold regular one-on-ones, coach and develop reps, and set clear performance expectations.
• Build the processes, KPIs, and onboarding that let the operation scale.
• Own carrier procurement and capacity management.
• Step into escalations with carriers and customers and resolve them.
• Get the most out of the TMS and load board tools, and improve how the team uses them.
