Job summary

KPMG is seeking a Temporary Deskside Services Advisor II for its Digital Nexus technology organization. This onsite role in Houston, TX, lasts twelve months and focuses on second-level IT support for PCs/MACs, ticket and asset management, and desktop services.

The position requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work onsite five days a week. You will collaborate with customers, escalate issues when needed, and adhere to compliance processes while contributing to IT

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of troubleshooting experience in a fast-paced technology environment
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• Ability to support client service professionals at various levels within the firm
• Onsite work five days/week and potential travel to other locations; on-call coverage as needed
• Strong communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills
• Ability to influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to others
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/break-fix, configure and deploy PCs/MACs; manage tickets and assets; provide desktop service
• Communicate with customers from analysis to resolution and follow up to ensure satisfaction
• Follow compliance processes for chain of custody and hardware tracking
• Serve as a senior team member/escalation point for IT personnel
• Escalate issues promptly and contribute to national IT project implementations
• Apply knowledge of client applications to troubleshoot and deploy patches/upgrades
• Uphold integrity, professionalism, and a respectful work environment
