Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Datacenter Hardware Technician to support Dell server infrastructure in Warren, OH. This onsite role involves hands-on hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and installations (rack and stack) to maintain uptime.

You will work in a team-oriented datacenter, handle break/fix tasks, and communicate clearly with stakeholders. The position is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with a 100% onsite requirement and a salary in the 80–85K range.

Qualifications

• Experience in racking, stacking, and servicing Dell servers in a datacenter.
• Hands-on hardware diagnostics and break/fix repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work on ladders.
• Strong problem-solving and server-operations knowledge.
• Professional, customer-first communication.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Maintenance & Repair: Perform break/fix services on Dell servers, including replacement of GPUs, NICs, memory, and other components.
• Ticket Management: Track, prioritize, and resolve hardware-related service tickets in a timely manner.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve hardware issues using knowledge of server architecture and components.
• Customer Service & Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with team members and internal stakeholders.
• Physical Datacenter Work: Lift up to 65 pounds, climb ladders, and work in a physically demanding datacenter environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with technicians and other departments to meet deployment and maintenance goals.
• Quality & Precision: Ensure tasks and repairs are performed to a high standard of accuracy.
