Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Datacenter Hardware Technician in Ellendale, ND, 100% onsite. First shift with rotation; must be a US citizen. The role focuses on hands-on Dell server hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and installations to maintain uptime and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will perform break/fix on Dell servers, manage hardware service tickets, and work closely with a team in a fast-paced datacenter environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen status required.
• Experience with Dell servers in a data center.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work in a physical datacenter.
• On-site role in Ellendale, ND with possible shift rotation.
• Willingness to work first shift with rotation.

Responsibilities

• Hardware maintenance & repair on Dell servers, including GPU, NIC, memory replacements.
• Track, prioritize, and resolve hardware service tickets promptly.
• Identify and resolve hardware issues using server architecture knowledge.
• Maintain clear communication with team and stakeholders.
• Perform physical datacenter tasks (lifting, climbing ladders) as needed.
• Collaborate with technicians and other departments to meet deployment goals.
• Ensure tasks are performed to high standards of accuracy and reliability.
