Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Datacenter Hardware Technician in Cheyenne, WY to support and maintain Dell server infrastructure onsite. The role involves hands-on hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and installations (rack and stack) to maintain uptime in a fast-paced datacenter environment.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work 100% onsite with a team. Shift is typically 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday, with potential rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience racking, stacking, and servicing Dell servers in a datacenter.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work on ladders.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics for server hardware.
• Excellent communication with team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Hardware maintenance & repair on Dell servers.
• Track and resolve hardware service tickets.
• Troubleshoot server hardware issues.
• Provide professional customer-focused communication.
• Physical datacenter work lifting up to 65 lbs.
• Collaborate with technicians and other departments.
• Maintain high quality and reliability in repairs.
