PGTEK in Denton, TX is seeking a Data Center Hardware Technician to support Dell server infrastructure in a fast-paced, onsite environment. You will perform rack-and-stack, diagnostics, and repairs to maintain uptime and efficiency.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, physically capable, able to lift up to 65 lbs, and comfortable collaborating with a team. The role requires 100% onsite work in Denton; first shift with rotation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience racking, stacking, and servicing Dell servers in a datacenter setting.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing hardware issues and performing part replacements.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical insight into server operations.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional, customer-first approach.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 65 lbs) and work on ladders as needed.
• Committed to delivering high-quality work with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Maintenance & Repair: Break/fix services on Dell servers, including replacement of GPUs, NICs, memory, and other components.
• Ticket Management: Track, prioritize, and resolve hardware-related service tickets promptly.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve hardware issues using server architecture knowledge.
• Customer Service & Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with team members and stakeholders.
• Physical Datacenter Work: Lift up to 65 pounds, climb ladders, perform tasks in a physically demanding environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with technicians and other departments to meet deployment and maintenance goals.
• Quality & Precision: Ensure tasks and repairs are performed to a high standard of accuracy.
