Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Datacenter Hardware Technician to support Dell server infrastructure onsite in Sandusky, OH. You will perform hands-on hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and installations (rack and stack), ensuring uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced datacenter.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable working onsite within a team. US citizenship is required, with a 100% onsite work arrangement and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm shift.

Qualifications

Hands-on Dell server repair and maintenance in a datacenter.
Experience racking, stacking, and servicing Dell servers.
Able to lift up to 65 pounds and work on ladders.
US citizen; 100% onsite in Sandusky, OH.
Strong ticket management and customer service.

Responsibilities

Hardware Maintenance & Repair: Perform break/fix on Dell servers and replace components.
Ticket Management: Track, prioritize, and resolve hardware service tickets.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve hardware issues using server knowledge.
Customer Service & Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with team and stakeholders.
Physical Datacenter Work: Lift up to 65 pounds, climb ladders, perform tasks in a datacenter.
Team Collaboration: Work with technicians and other departments to meet goals.
Quality & Precision: Ensure high-quality repairs and reliability.
