Milestone Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Level 1 Data Center Technician for our Dekalb, IL onsite location.

The role supports installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, networking gear and cabling, working closely with Data Center Leads to ensure reliable operations. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with basic hardware knowledge and a willingness to travel to data center locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of general work experience.
• Basic knowledge of or hands-on experience with computer hardware and repair.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling.
• Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot data center equipment.
• Accurately pull and manage inventory per documented processes.
• Work cross-functionally to maintain accurate inventory systems.
• Develop skills in server repair (e.g., replacing drives, RAM, motherboards).
• Assist with moving and racking equipment for special projects and hardware replacements.
