Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking an L1 Data Center Technician to support a Fredericksburg, VA data center onsite five days a week. You will perform hardware installation, break/fix, and cabling, while tracking work in ITSM systems and following defined SOPs.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on data center or technical support experience, strong hardware skills, basic networking, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hands-on technical support or data center experience.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and break/fix skills.
• Basic networking knowledge and ability to trace connections.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on data center break/fix, hardware installation and troubleshooting for servers and network equipment.
• Execute rack-and-stack activities, cabling, labeling and connections.
• Install and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling and network ports.
• Manage tickets through ITSM systems and document work clearly.
• Diagnose failed hardware components and perform inventory tasks.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures, escalate as needed.
