Job summary

Amazon’s AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Data Center Project Engineer in Manassas, VA to join a diverse team that designs, builds, and operates data centers. You will work onsite with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to ensure fast, high‑quality delivery and strong documentation control.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and have 3+ years in data centers or mission‑critical facilities, plus experience in construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in vendor management and in data center or mission critical facilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• 3+ years in data center or mission critical facilities and in construction/project management.

Responsibilities

• Establish communication across data center regional teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a design changes and RFI tracking system with dashboards.
• Onboard new vendors for access and orientation.
• Update project management software with milestones, correspondence and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished materials to site.
• Compile and store construction data from vendors.
• Manage checklists including substantial completion, safety and quality.
