Job summary
Five9 is seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer for its Infrastructure Reliability team in the USA. The role centers on building and optimizing data center hardware and software, with a focus on long-term planning, design, and reliability.
On-site work in a data center near Atlanta, GA, five days a week, with on-call responsibilities, is required. You will manage hardware, software, and network connections, perform maintenance, and participate in disaster recovery planning, using Linux/Unix
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years hands-on data centre technologies including compute, network, storage and cabling.
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration and virtualization.
- Ability to work in on-site data center environments and on-call rotations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data center infrastructure for performance and growth.
- Build, manage and maintain global data center infrastructure.
- Install equipment: compute, network, storage, racks, PDUs, cabling.
- Monitor for failures and optimize power and space resources.
- Collaborate with engineers and IT for issue resolution.
- Maintain DCIM asset inventory and documentation.
