Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Site Project Manager to own end‑to‑end delivery of onsite data‑center projects in Buffalo, NY (and Abernathy, TX). This direct hire role focuses on expansions, retrofits, upgrades, decommissioning, and ensuring safe, on‑time, and within‑budget execution while minimizing live‑ops disruption.

You will manage scope, budgets, vendors, and contractors, coordinating with operations, facilities, engineering, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing critical‑facility, construction, infrastructure, or data‑center projects end to end.
• Experience managing projects within existing, operational buildings or live environments.
• Ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, vendors, and contractors with minimal oversight.
• Ability to manage expansions, retrofits, upgrades, downgrades, and other capital projects.
• Strong understanding of critical‑facility environments and minimizing live‑ops disruption.
• Excellent organization, communication, decision‑making, and stakeholder management.
• Onsite full‑time work at Buffalo data‑center location.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of onsite projects, including deployments, expansions, retrofits, upgrades, equipment refreshes, and decommissions.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, vendors, contractors, risks, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate work around uptime requirements, maintenance windows, and change‑control processes.
• Partner with operations, facilities, engineering, SMEs, and construction teams to validate scope and execution.
• Hold contractors, vendors, and service providers accountable throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, change records, and as‑built/closeout documentation.
• Provide clear status, risk, and milestone reporting to site leadership and program stakeholders.
• Develop site‑level process improvements, runbooks, and standards for faster, safer recurring projects.
