Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is hiring a Critical Facilities Engineer for our San Antonio data center. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance of UPS, PDUs, diesel generators, ATS, and building controls to ensure 100% uptime and reliability for customer installations.

You will work with a team of engineers on preventive and corrective maintenance, develop SOPs and MOPs, and coordinate external vendors while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years preferred in industrial electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read commercial building blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong technical writing skills for MOPs/SOPs/EOPs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair critical data center systems (UPS, PDU, generators, ATS, building controls).
• Develop reliability reports to meet uptime targets.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance vendors safely and effectively.
• Create and update MOPs, SOPs and EOPs for equipment and repairs.
