Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center projects. You will support the Lead CM with contractor, designer, and vendor management, owning the construction scope across North America.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with cross functional partners, scheduling and budgeting, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 7–10 years of related experience.
• Experience in data center construction/critical infrastructure preferred.
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling and Primavera P6 software.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of Data Center projects.
• Support the Lead CM with contractor, designer, and vendor management.
• Own construction scope including retrofits and new builds across North America.
• Coordinate between Contractors, Consultants and Cross Functional Partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional partners and vendors.
• Plan and scope work with cross functional teams; package scopes for execution.
• Assist with project schedules, cost estimates, and ROM budgets.
• Manage cost changes, negotiate pricing with matrixed teams.
• Monitor schedule risks and ensure timely turnover and capacity delivery.
• Conduct monthly WIP walks and site visits to verify handover conditions.
• Lead safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
• About 50% travel to project sites in North America.
