Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an on-site Construction Manager to lead data center construction, commissioning, and turnover in Cheyenne, WY. You will manage contractors, designers, and vendors, owning the full construction scope for retrofits and new builds across North America.

The role requires 7–10 years of data center construction experience, knowledge of CPM scheduling (Primavera P6), and strong MS Office skills. Travel up to ~50% is expected; this is a contract position based in Cheyenne, WY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 7–10 years related to data center construction or critical infrastructure.
• CPM scheduling knowledge; familiarity with Primavera P6.
• Data center design/construction experience and commissioning expertise.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across different phases.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems.
• Approx. 50% travel to project sites in North America.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of Data Center projects.
• Support Lead CM with contractor, designer, and vendor management.
• Own construction scope including retrofits and new space builds in leased portfolio.
• Coordinate between Contractors, Consultants, and cross functional partners.
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships on site.
• Plan and scope work with cross functional teams; package for execution.
• Aid in creating and maintaining project schedules with Project Controls.
• Manage cost change process and negotiate pricing with teams.
• Track risks and ensure reliable turnover dates; report opportunities/mitigations.
• Conduct monthly WIP walks; verify work in place for invoicing.
• Manage relationships with contractor and designer; assist with budgets and ROM estimates.
• Forecast CapEx monthly for all project related costs.
• Provide analysis from weekly status reports (financial, schedule, QA/QC).
• Manage MOPs for retrofit/remedy work in live data centers.
• Facilitate interaction between contractors, Meta and QA/QC teams.
• Lead project closeout and escalate issues to Construction Manager.
• Promote continuous improvement, partnership, and safety culture.
