Job summary

Brock Solutions is seeking an Onsite Controls Commissioning Engineer to lead installation support, startup, testing, and commissioning of automated manufacturing systems on customer sites across North America.

You will collaborate with project teams and plant personnel to bring systems online, validate performance, and optimize reliability. The role requires travel and hands‑on problem solving in fast‑paced environments.

Qualifications

Background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Automation, or Industrial Engineering.
Exceptional problem‑solving and communication skills.
Experience programming PLCs (Ladder Logic).
Ability to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Support equipment installation, power‑up, debugging, production trials, and launch activities.
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics, networking, and industrial communication systems.
Validate controls sequences, safety systems, and production functionality.
Identify and resolve technical issues while minimizing production impacts.
Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
Travel to customer locations across North America to support major project and launch activities.
