LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Controller for a stand-alone $25-35mm entity in St. Charles, MO. The role leads the accounting and finance function, reporting to executive leadership and overseeing a small team.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership opportunity within a growing organization. The Controller will drive technical accounting, reporting, planning, and scalable processes to support continued growth and integration with the parent company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting foundation.
• Proven ability to build processes, controls, and scalable accounting infrastructure.
• Leadership, business-partner mindset, and stakeholder-management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Career progression showing increasing ownership.
• Polished communication skills and credible leadership presence.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Develop and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
• Deliver accurate financial reporting to local and corporate leadership.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance and financial discipline.
• Lead and develop the local accounting and administrative team.
• Support integration efforts, systems optimization, and growth initiatives.
