Job summary

Alston Construction is a nationwide general contractor seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead and direct onsite personnel and subcontractors in planning, coordination, and execution of work to deliver quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will manage project plans, owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily reports, and as-built drawings while upholding safety and quality standards. Travel is required, and the Edison, NJ office oversees projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and appropriate experience managing construction projects for a general contractor from conception to completion.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, oversee, and manage onsite activities to ensure project goals and schedules are met.
• Possess knowledge of all project plans, owner contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, drawings, submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Proactively schedule and coordinate all subcontractors to meet the project schedule and control costs.
• Monitor subcontractors' work for compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Handle project setup, PPE, signage, and daily reporting; maintain punch lists and close-out documentation.
