Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead onsite teams and subcontractors, coordinating work to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and with strong client relations.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Construction Management or Engineering, have design-build experience, and be prepared to travel 100% from Greenville, SC to project sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, oversee, and manage onsite activities to meet project goals and schedules.
• Maintain complete sets of project documents, as-built drawings, and ensure alignment with plans and specs.
• Coordinate subcontractors to meet schedule and control costs.
• Monitor subcontractors for quality, safety, and compliance with contract documents and codes.
• Prepare daily reports, safety logs, and cost coding.
• Guide project to close-out and manage punch list to ensure timely completion.
• Uphold safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Perform other related duties.

Education

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
