Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead onsite personnel and subcontractors in planning, coordination, and execution of work. The project delivers a quality result safely, on schedule, within budget, and strengthens client relationships and the company’s image.

The candidate should have a degree in Construction Management or Engineering, design-build experience, a valid driver’s license, and a proven track record managing general contractor projects from conception to completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field and proven experience managing construction projects for a general contractor.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Effectively plan, schedule, oversee, and manage onsite activities to meet goals and schedules.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate all subcontractors to maintain project schedule and budget.
• Monitor subcontractor work for compliance with codes, standards, and safety policies.
• Set up project logistics including trailer, equipment, PPE, and postings.
• Prepare daily weather and manpower reports, safety logs, and cost coding.
• Manage close-out and punch list to ensure timely completion.
