Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent in Edison, NJ to lead onsite teams and subcontractors while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role involves coordinating plans, drawings, and documentation while maintaining strong client relationships across nationwide sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• Design-build experience on relevant project types preferred.
• Experience managing construction projects for a general contractor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, oversee, and manage onsite activities to meet project goals.
• Understand and apply project plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate subcontractors to meet schedule and budget without extra costs.
• Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and QC requirements.
• Handle project setup: trailer, signage, PPE, and safety materials.
• Prepare daily reports, safety logs, and cost coding; manage punch list.
