Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee construction safety across multiple Baltimore/Middle River projects. You will work directly with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to maintain a safe, compliant work environment and lead safety initiatives on active sites.

The role requires strong technical safety knowledge, practical communication, and the ability to build credibility with field personnel, with regular site travel to active jobsites in the market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500 strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent jobsite safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Develop corrective and preventative actions and follow through to ensure completion.
• Lead and participate in jobsite safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Participate in pre-job meetings and review subcontractor safety documentation and training.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions.
• Support workers' compensation, injured-worker communication and return-to-work initiatives.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientation and ongoing employee training.
• Maintain required safety documentation, audits, SDS records, investigations and meeting records.
• Partner with project managers, superintendents and field leadership on jobsite hazards and safe work practices.
• Maintain safety documentation and training records within the company's EHS system.
• Provide guidance regarding new equipment, materials and changing safety requirements.
• Maintain strong working relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors and senior leadership.
