Job summary

Capital Electric Construction Co., Inc. in Casey, IL is seeking a Safety Manager to promote a strong safety culture on construction sites. You will lead on-site safety teams, plan and implement safety and environmental plans, and coordinate with project teams to minimize risk to workers and assets.

The role requires OSHA certifications or equivalent experience, NFPA 70E knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills to ensure compliant, safe operations at multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety (or related field); or minimum of 3+ years' experience in construction safety or equivalent.
• Previous construction jobsite safety experience is required.
• OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 designation preferred; CSP/CHST certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive and professional safety culture on-site.
• Manage the on-site safety team and enforce safety duties.
• Plan and address risks to personnel, operations, and project assets.
• Coordinate safety, health, and environmental plans with project teams.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and ensure corrective actions.
• Lead safety training and conduct inspections/audits daily.
• Interface with general contractors and subs to prevent injuries.
• Maintain documentation of safety observations and actions.
