Job summary

Esi Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead on-site safety programs at construction sites in Missouri. You will oversee safety teams, promote best practices, and coordinate with project personnel to mitigate risks for workers and the public.

Ideal candidates hold a related bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in construction safety, with OSHA certifications preferred. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and local regulations is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety (or related field) or 3+ years’ construction safety experience.
• Experience on construction job sites is required.
• OSHA training or certifications are preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture and oversee safety administration for on-site personnel.
• Lead on-site safety team and ensure subordinates understand job duties.
• Collaborate with project teams to address risks to workers, operations, the public, and assets.
• Assist Regional Safety Director in controlling hazardous conditions and unsafe activities.
• Review safety plans, pre-construction meetings, and permits for projects.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits of sites and equipment.
• Provide safety training on topics like Fall Protection, LOTO, and confined space.
