Job summary

Esi Electrical Contractors, Inc. in Illinois seeks a Safety Professional to promote a strong safety culture on active construction sites. You will work with project teams to plan activities that minimize risks to crews, the public, and project assets.

This on-site, full-time role requires a bachelor’s degree in safety or 3+ years in construction safety, plus OSHA credentials and NFPA 70E knowledge. Travel is limited, and competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field, or 3+ years in construction safety.
• Previous construction jobsite safety experience is required.
• OSHA 500/510 and CSP/CHST certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture and oversee safety administration on-site.
• Manage the on-site safety team and ensure subordinates understand duties.
• Collaborate with project teams to plan activities reducing risk to personnel and assets.
• Assist Regional Safety Director in controlling hazardous conditions and unsafe activities.
• Review safety and environmental plans, participate in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
• Provide oversight to ensure best practices during pre-planning and construction phases.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, document hazards, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and safety training on topics like Fall Protection and NFPA 70E.
