Job summary

Venus Construction Company is seeking a Field Safety Manager to lead safety programs across active construction sites in the Mansfield area. You will work on-site with crews, supervisors, and superintendents to ensure OSHA and client safety requirements are met and to drive hazard identification and incident prevention.

Bilingual English/Spanish and OSHA 30 are preferred. You will conduct field safety audits, investigations, and training while maintaining thorough safety records and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written (preferred)
• OSHA 30 certification is required
• First Aid/CPR/AED training current
• 3–5 years of construction experience, preferably heavy civil/utilities/underground
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices
• Experience with field audits, incident investigations, and safety training
• Excellent written and verbal communication with field crews and management
• Proficient with basic computer applications and reporting tools
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between job sites
• Knowledgeable about safety hazard identification and incident prevention

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce company safety policies and procedures across all job sites
• Maintain active field presence to observe work, identify hazards, and coach safe practices
• Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses for compliance
• Ensure safety documentation is complete and submitted timely (HCSS Safety)
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage; document findings
• Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to integrate safety into daily operations
• Maintain organized safety records and reports
• Support safety training and continuous safety culture improvement
