Job summary

McClure Company in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects, report to the Manager of Construction Operations, and ensure contractual obligations, schedules, and profitability targets are met while maintaining a safe work culture.

The role requires coordinating meetings, managing subcontractors, preparing CPM schedules, and driving design reviews and value engineering to deliver quality service for clients.

Qualifications

• Mechanical construction project management experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with various departments of the company, as well as clients and subcontractors.
• Good organizational, analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Energetic with a high sense of urgency.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Project).
• Capable of reading and interpreting P&ID's and all other technical project documents, preferred
• Thorough knowledge of piping and sheet-metal systems, preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Attend regular meetings with the project team for planning and progress assessment.
• Provide total coordination of all project management activities on selected accounts.
• Purchase and manage subcontractors.
• Prepare CPM schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Perform turnover and preplanning activities per company procedures.
• Lead short interval planning meetings with foremen, subcontractors and owners.
• Ensure projects align with the corporate safety program.
• Conduct ongoing productivity studies.
• Provide monthly cost reporting and status forecasting.
• Approve equipment and material submittals to meet contract commitments.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for estimating and purchasing.
• Analyze system designs for design-build or value engineering.
• Demonstrate leadership and clear communication to all stakeholders.
• Provide quality customer service and follow-up as needed.
• Interface with customers at all levels to coordinate upcoming projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
