Job summary

LeoForce, a leading contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Chicago to oversee mid-to-large commercial construction initiatives. You will manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met.

Collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams is essential. The role requires 7+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership, and proficiency in Procore/Bluebeam plus MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience managing ground-up or large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Experience managing project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Experience with subcontractor buyout, negotiations, and contract management.
• Ability to manage project schedules and coordinate with field teams.
• Experience overseeing submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Project.
• Knowledge of safety standards and construction regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or phases simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
