Job summary

Jacobs in New York, NY seeks a Project Engineer to deliver on-site project management for active construction projects. You will coordinate trades and design-field staff, support the Senior Project Manager with RFI tracking, contract reviews, and cost forecasting, and help ensure timely completion per client standards.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in Engineering/Construction Management or Architecture, 5+ years on large projects, knowledge of the UBC, and OSHA 30 certification, with strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, construction management or architecture.
• Experience on large projects over $10M and related PM duties.
• Knowledge of RFI tracking, contract reviews, forecast and cost scheduling.
• Familiar with pre-design and pre-construction delivery systems.
• Experience inspecting large-scale building construction.
• Knowledge of the Uniform Building Code.
• Proficient with Windows/Office and scheduling tools.
• OSHA 30 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective project management to reduce costs and add value.
• Coordinate progression of trades and design-field staff on active projects.
• Support Senior PM with RFI tracking, contract document review, forecast and cost scheduling.
• Prepare change orders, review payments, and assist in payment applications.
• Attend project meetings, write minutes, and prepare regular reports.
• Monitor contractors/subcontractors to ensure QA/QC, safety and security.
• Ensure project progresses to completion per client standards.
