Job summary

Actalent in Springfield, MA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers in coordinating construction projects onsite. You will assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation, ensuring smooth coordination with subcontractors, vendors, consultants and stakeholders.

This contract-to-hire role requires 2+ years in construction PM or related field, a related bachelor’s degree preferred, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction project management or related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with project administration and coordination.
• Support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
• Prepare/manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and minutes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, stakeholders.
• Monitor schedules and identify delays or issues.
• Assist with procurement and material tracking.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support project reporting and record-keeping.
• Attend meetings and ensure office-field communication.
• Ensure safety compliance and policy adherence.
