Job summary

DOC in the United States seeks an Assistant Project Manager for on-site, field-based work on diverse construction projects. You will support project managers, manage procurement, subcontracts, change orders, and client communications daily.

Qualifications include a four-year engineering degree (or equivalent) and 3–5 years in similar facility construction project management, with proficiency in Procore, Sage, and Primavera. OSHA 30 or LEED is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience in similar facility construction project management and related functions.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore or similar), accounting cost management software (Sage or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
• OSHA 30 Certification, LEED Certification, Lean Certification, CPR/First Aid Training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
• Assist project management with financial management of projects, including Owner Pay Applications, Change Orders, and Cost Reports.
• Provide quantity take-offs for change-orders estimates.
• Assist management in securing subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; track documents and ensure field translations.
• Assist management in producing meeting minutes and circulate to attendees.
• Attend periodic meetings to coordinate progress and discuss changes and project issues.
• Coordinate MEP subcontractor layouts and system start-up commissioning.
• Worksite safety and enforce DOC safety rules.
