Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to lead on-site electrical quality control from preconstruction through commissioning. You will work with design professionals, clients and subs to address complex coordination issues and drive startup activities at the Amarillo project.

This role requires strong documentation, scheduling and field leadership within a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil engineering, construction management, or architecture or equivalent experience.
Experience coordinating startup of electrical systems with subs and designers.
Familiar with CSI specs and field data organization.
Able to read blueprints and survey data; manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Proficiency with Windows, MS Office; scheduling tools and BIM software.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical quality control from preconstruction through commissioning and punch list.
Collaborate with designers, clients and subcontractors to resolve coordination issues.
Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, architectural and structural elements.
Run startup meetings with area managers, design team, subs, and owners.
Review submittals, ensure electrical equipment is startup-ready and documented.
Prepare and publish meeting minutes, schedules, and activity checklists.
Organize records, field surveys and as-built documentation.
