Job summary

Guy F. Atkinson Construction, LLC in Renton, WA, seeks an experienced Construction Manager to act as the principal operations representative on site, coordinating planning, scheduling, safety and budget.

You will lead the project team, mentor staff, manage subcontractors, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery of complex heavy-civil work. The role demands hands-on leadership, collaboration with field personnel and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience on $30M to $250M+ complex, self-perform, heavy-civil construction projects
• Experience as the lead supervisor responsible for all construction activities on large civil projects with multiple superintendents
• Experience managing a projects 3-week and 90-day schedule
• Experience managing labor productivity and involvement in project cost reporting
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and coordination of a project site and set the tone for safety and timely execution
• Manage cost and scheduling with authority to direct subcontractors and self-perform resources
• Mentor project staff and ensure team collaboration on safety, quality and progress
• Develop strong relationships with craft personnel, inspectors, vendors and clients
