Job summary

Atkinson Construction is seeking a Quality Inspector in Renton, WA to support heavy civil projects by reviewing contract documents, owner requirements, and ensuring compliance with building codes. You will coordinate with multiple trades, prepare daily progress reports, and help build a transparent quality control team focused on excellence.

The role demands strong communication, at least 3 years of relevant experience (or 5 years with a technical/Associate’s degree), and preferred

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant work experience, or five years of relevant inspection experience with a technical or Associate’s degree.
• Certifications preferred: ICC, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, WAQTC, WA State WA CWI.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication; valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review contract drawings and specifications with project team.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
• Oversee punch lists, inspections, and third-party testing coordination.
• Maintain deficiency logs and assist in project closeout deliverables.
