Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Project Executive to lead a single large project team or multiple smaller teams on a Massachusetts site. This role focuses on guiding direction, ensuring safety, and delivering on time and on budget while interfacing with owners, subcontractors, and design teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in construction management, a relevant engineering degree, and a track record of delivering complex projects with strong financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 10-15 years of experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assumes overall accountability for jobsite safety.
• Assumes overall accountability for meeting contract requirements.
• Verifies the accuracy of project financial forecast, notices, and billings to meet contract requirements; escalates unresolved deviations.
• Ensures team creates a project-specific quality plan aligned with the owner contract and contract documents.
• Leads and motivates the project team to maintain a positive work environment.
• Directs and supervises project administration, superintendents, and engineers to set priorities and maintain owner/subcontractor relationships.
• Negotiates contracts and leads risk mitigation and buyout processes at the project level.
• Ensures project compliance with insurance and bonds.
• Coordinates preconstruction services ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.
