Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Community Relations Manager in Oakland (SFO Artizan area). You will lead a team delivering a top-notch resident experience, supervise communications, and coordinate move-in/out processes with a focus on service excellence.

You will manage budgets, maintain policy compliance, and collaborate with the Community Management Team to enhance operations while supporting resident satisfaction across the property portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 2+ years of property management experience with 1-2+ years supervisory experience.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to supervise staff of two or more associates.
• On-site office work five days per week.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM software.
• English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support a team managing resident communications through the CRM system.
• Coordinate seamless move-in/out processes and paperwork.
• Coach staff to address resident concerns promptly and escalate when needed.
• Oversee portfolio tasks and calls through Funnel and ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain understanding of the community portfolio and guide operations.
• Collaborate with Community Management Team to improve operations and satisfaction.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident and property information.
• Coordinate resident events and notices.
• Delegate workload and manage special projects for operations.
• Monitor expenses to stay within budget and manage performance.
