Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with our commercial clients in Charleston, SC. You will install and program Integrated Security fire and security systems, dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed, and ensure safety and quality on every job.

You will read schematics, coordinate with local authorities, and mentor less experienced installers while maintaining clear communication with customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• 1–3 years electrical/electronic equipment experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and program Johnson Controls Integrated Security fire and security systems on customer sites.
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed.
• Read building blueprints and follow wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate installations with authorities and notify emergency contacts as required.
• Lead installation teams on larger projects and mentor junior installers.
